Gateway Church is a local autonomous church endeavouring to function as Biblically as we know how, according to the pattern seen in the New Testament.
Neither denominations or independent churches are evident in the New Testament, only local Churches relating to and working together with translocal/apostolic teams.
New Covenant Ministries International is such a team that has the following vision statement:
“To disciple the nations by planting New Testament churches in every village, town, city and country that GOD calls us to; either by prophetic word or doors of
opportunity HE open to us.”
NCMI is not a denomination, a mission movement or a ‘para-church’ organisation. It has no head quarters or common constitution that all relating churches sign. Nor does it have a membership committee or any system of imposed authority. It is a translocal team of proven men and women who share a common vision, and who are motivated by love for JESUS CHRIST with a desire to see the Kingdom of GOD advanced through the local church.
Their input into local churches is by invitation only and never imposed. NCMI is currently working into more than 80 countries worldwide with local churches that relate to them.
We believe that the input from and accountability to a translocal/apostolic team is not only a Biblical pattern, but is essential for the health and growth of us as Gateway church. Therefore we chose to relate to the NCMI team.
